The idea is you place a pad onto the tray and secure in place, add a couple of drops of the scent to the pad on the tray and then place the tray close to the puppies bed, each day you repeat this process moving the tray closer and closer to the outside door, you continue passed the door into the garden, this will encourage your puppy to always go outside for the toilet.
